Volunteering Policy Survey
Overview
We'd like to find out more about your experiences of volunteering.
What is Volunteering?
Volunteering is when someone freely gives their time and skills without financial reward to benefit others, the community, or a cause. It is always a choice and can be formal (through an organisation) or informal (helping in your local area).
Examples of Volunteering:
Internal to the Council:
- Supporting community events organised by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
- Acting as a school governor or helping in library services.
- Participating in council-led initiatives like the Shared Lives Scheme or environmental projects.
External to the Council:
- Helping at local charities or food banks.
- Assisting with community clean-up projects or conservation work.
- Volunteering with organisations like Catalyst or local sports clubs.
