Article 4 Direction
Overview
Notice has be given that the Council intend to introduce an Article 4 Direction which if confirmed would require planning consent for the change of use of a building within Class C3 (dwellinghouses) to a use falling within Class C4 (houses in multiple occupation) through the removal of permitted development rights for this type of development.

The Direction would apply to the entire area of the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees with the intention to come into force on 22nd March 2027. Representations to the intention to introduce the Article 4 direction can be made using this form.
Making representations through this form will not mean that you will be consulted on any planning applications in the area that you are / may be interested in. Furthermore, any comments you may have on a planning application expressed here will not be logged against that application.
