Have Your Say North East - Stockton-on-Tees

Overview

Have Your Say North East is a new regional youth ballot created to ensure young people still have a strong voice on the issues that matter most to them. This initiative mirrors the approach of Make Your Mark, which will not be running this year, and gives young people the chance to influence priorities across the North East.

Have Your Say North East is only open to 11-18 year olds and to take part in this specific ballot, you must live, work or study in the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees.

Why your views matter

Have Your Say North East gives young people a meaningful way to express their views on key topics such as education, health, the environment, crime and safety, and more. The results will help shape local decision-making, highlight what young people want to see change, and give them a real sense of ownership in their communities. Taking part also supports important learning around democracy, citizenship, and youth voice.

What happens next

Thank you for taking part in Have Your Say North East. After the close of the ballot, we will share Stockton-on-Tees' results with the rest of the North East. Once the results are added together, we will know the top issues affecting young people in the North East and Stockton-on-Tees.

These results will help Bright Minds Big Futures and other similar youth councils across the region work on issues that matter most to our young people.
